Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Julian spent his childhood gradually migrating eastward to Chicago, Washington DC, and eventually to college at the University of Connecticut. He was pulled back home to attend film school at San Francisco State University and spent the next decade producing film festivals there. That led him to jump into the crazy, exciting, beautiful, hectic life of New York City. Fifteen years later, the time came for him to return West, and Portland called. In the years he has been here, he has fallen in love with its beauty, culture, and slower pace of life.

For much of his professional life, Julian was a marketer in media and advertising, which enabled him to purchase and sell two homes on the East Coast. Those experiences revealed an appreciation for how being a homeowner fundamentally changes how people relate to their communities and the impact it has on their financial outlook. This led him down the path of making a significant career change in order to help others realize this deeply transformational change in their lives.
